This will be our 5^th free conference aimed at updating secondary teachers’ knowledge of genetics.
It will be held again at the NOWGEN Centre Manchester.

Details of topics and speakers:

George Burghel– Genomic testing for cancers.
Garrett Hellenthal– Studying historical movements of populations using DNA.
Jessica Keen– The implementation of pharmacogenetics in the National Health Service.
Andrew Read– The principles of DNA sequencing and new DNA sequencing techniques.
Rachel Thompson– Ethical issues of genomics in healthcare.
Andrew Walton– Thoughts on the teaching of genetics in schools.
